Ms. Buttercup is the most amazing thing ever : ) If she didn't seem like such an anomaly from everything I've read about ferrets we'd get a second one today. (We'll still probably get a second one later...) She's so sweet and well-behaved (for now). She's only stolen a few shoe soles, and only bites (your feet) when she's inside something dark like under the couch or under a comforter. She sleeps a ton. We usually have to wake her up to play with her. Which she doesn't mind because she goes on her crazy awake spree which involves sniffing the entire house and going into a ferret "war dance" mode which I'll have to film at some point. It's mainly her freaking out over a plastic bag (which is her favorite toy) or playing tag and being really crazy and adorable.
She's albino which we used to really hate when we looked at them at the pet store. Luckily we had just warmed up to them before getting Buttercup as one at the store was so sweet and friendly. The lady we adopted her from says that the albino ones are usually there longer so they probably get held more/are more affectionate which certainly seems to be the case. I always wanted the cute brown masked type but Buttercup is so perfect that I've completely forgotten about the "regular" kind. <3
